Highly successful greyhound owner/breeder Darren Leeson is the man behind V12 Pedigrees. After years of watching the "same old faces" popping up time and time again with quality stock. In 1998 Darren set about studying champion racehorses, greyhounds and associated breeding theories in an attempt to fulfill a young mans dream of owning that elusive champion.

By March 2000, confident in his knowledge, Darren decided it was time to put his theory to the test and purchased two greyhound saplings (Just The Best x Heart Spark) aged 3 months. October 2001 and Darren's dream of owning that elusive champion had come to fruition...not once but twice! Through his in depth knowledge Darren had isolated what was to become the number one litter in Australia for 2002. A litter that went onto amass $300,000 in prizemoney (see portfolio).

So, successful was Darren's knowledge, that 12 months later Heart Spark's full blood sister Spark Again also visited Just The Best and produced "million dollar" stud dog Elite State - winner of $200,000 on the racetrack. Heart Spark has since revisited Just The Best and at time of writing her repeat mating has amassed in excess of $100,000. Well and truly establishing Darren as a man in the know...$600,000 and climbing in the know!

V12 Pedigrees believe the better the galloper the better the pedigree. Therefore, our mission is to continually be true to the pedigree. However, when necessary being flexible to a clients desired commercial needs and breeding accordingly. At the same time being as true as possible to the pedigree.
